Last year’s Race for the Roses was record-setting in every way. Racers, funds and awareness about Kerr topped the charts on April 4, 2009. More than $200,000 was raised and almost 4,000 racers joined the festivities. Volunteers were the lifeblood of the event donating thousands of hours of service.
Sign-up NOW to be a part of the action! Volunteers can participate in dozens of activities, including:
- Host an aid station along the course
- Check dry clothing
- Help with racer registration
- Provide racers and volunteers with delicious donated treats
- Hand out prizes and awards
- Check-in volunteers
- Cheer on the thousands of participants along the course.

All volunteers get a special t-shirt, snacks and endless gratitude.

Some, but certainly not all positions require:
- The ability to stand for up to 2 hours
- The ability to lift 25 lbs.
